Harry J. Moren helps clients resolve civil litigation and pre-litigation matters, specializing in complex commercial disputes, consumer class actions, product liability claims, and insurance recovery.Harry’s clients value him as an inclusive collaborator, skilled listener, and effective advocate.
Harry joined Thoits Law from Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP, where he was a senior associate in the Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution group. During his eight years at Orrick, Harry handled litigation matters in federal and state courts across the country and in arbitration and mediation. He also assisted clients with government and internal investigations, insurance recovery matters, and risk assessments.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Harry worked as a software developer for over ten years writing custom software for e-commerce platforms, enterprise management systems, and call center automation for companies including Amazon, Intel, ADT, Cable & Wireless, Time Warner Cable, and Lucent Technologies. His legal clients value his technical fluency and analytical reasoning.
Harry is deeply committed to pro bono service and has enjoyed advocating for domestic violence victims, immigrants’ rights, and low-income tenants. He recently assisted a Navy veteran successfully conclude a ten-year quest for disability benefits at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Harry is also active on the advisory board of OneJustice, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing legal services for those in need.
