Dinah is a trial-experienced litigator who has represented clients in trade secret, patent, copyright, and trademark matters involving a broad range of technologies, ranging from wind turbines to computer-aided design software.Dinah has managed and developed the strategy for cases of various sizes, from litigation against non-practicing entities to bet-the-company competitor cases. Her experience includes every stage of litigation, including managing discovery, working with experts in drafting invalidity and non-infringement reports, arguing motions from discovery to summary judgment, taking and defending depositions of witnesses, presenting witnesses at trial, and making arguments on appeal.
Dinah also leverages a strong track record in commercial matters involving business torts, unfair competition, partnership disputes, breach of contract, and fraud claims, as well as in criminal defense matters, where she has successfully argued for the dismissal of charges against her clients.
When the opportunity arises, Dinah enjoys using her Spanish language skills to represent Spanish-speaking clients in domestic and international disputes.
Prior to joining Thoits Law, Dinah practiced at Morrison & Foerster, Alston & Bird, and O’Melveny & Myers, where she specialized in intellectual property litigation.
Dinah is a Cupertino native. When not practicing law, Dinah enjoys spending time with her family, baking, running, and watching cooking competition shows.
