Cynthia C. Mullen
Cynthia Mullen is an Of Counsel attorney in the firm’s Litigation Group, where her practice encompasses all forms of civil and commercial litigation.Her experience includes contract, business tort, intellectual property, real estate and land use, insurance, trust and estates, and class action litigation. Cynthia practices in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate level and also has significant experience in arbitration forums. She services both corporate and individual clients throughout California and the United States.
Prior to joining Thoits Law, Cynthia practiced in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP for eight years, where she handled complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis in land use and insurance litigation. Cynthia also served as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California for the Honorable Philip S. Gutierrez during the 2014-2015 term.
Cynthia earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in American Studies and received the top graduate award in her major. Cynthia is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.
Cynthia is a Los Altos native who currently resides in Santa Barbara, California with her family. When she is not practicing law or playing with her young kids, Cynthia enjoys running, golf, and cheering on the Irish.
