Biography
Julia W. Murphy-Chutorian joined the Firm's Trusts & Estates Group after practicing with Ferrari Ottoboni Caputo & Wunderling, LLP in San Jose. She focuses her practice primarily on estate planning and advising clients on tax efficient lifetime giving strategies including irrevocable life insurance trusts, sales of closely held businesses to defective grantor trusts, charitable trusts, qualified personal residence trusts and special needs trusts. Her practice also includes post death administration, advising real estate and limited partnerships regarding succession planning and probate. Admitted to the U.S. Tax Court, Julia is experienced resolving estate and gift tax audits and property tax disputes.
Julia lives with her husband and daughter at their home in Palo Alto. Her interests include digital photography, cooking, gardening, beach volleyball, hiking, camping and traveling.
